For each of the past 54 years, the University of Utah in Salt Lake City has hosted this school for health care workers and others interested in maintaining cutting edge knowledge of research, education, evaluation, and treatment of chemical dependency. This is the place to learn the most effective ways of viewing and treating this disease. The one week school provides 30 CDE hours. Contact the school at 801-538-4343, or at their website. The National Institute on Dentist Well-Being is held in Chicago, at ADA Headquarters, every 2 years. Program sessions are divided into three tracks—one specifically for couples, one dealing with the conditions that can cause professional impairment, and one geared for those who are working in advocacy for recovering dentists. There is a special registration rate for couples. Additional program information will be posted as it becomes available.
For registration information, call the American Dental Association Well-Being Programs at 1-800-621-8099, or visit their website.
